A number of years ago, my wife and I bought a wood plaque from one of those well-intentioned gift catalogs that seem to materialize every holiday season. It hangs above our pantry door and says "In Everything, Give Thanks." It's one of those things that I see every day and easily forget that it's even there. However, last weekend I spotted it hanging there, and it hit me differently.

It isn't always easy to be thankful. It's not always easy to look at the bright side. The last 8 months have been a stress test of sorts. Things have not gone according to plan, and honestly, even the good parts have been taxing in some ways.

But you know...we should be thankful, anyway. I'm writing this at work; too many businesses have closed their doors. I'm having Thanksgiving with only my immediate family, but we are all healthy. I'm concerned about the future, but what else is new? Really, life is pretty good, despite the uncertainties we face.

So I'm thankful for all these things - and for you as well. Your trust in us is what keeps our business operating, and your friendship is what makes it fun.

Happy Thanksgiving!
