In a normal year, July and August are a mixed bag for lawn and landscape work. The weather can get hot, and lawns and plant life can start to look a little crunchy. This can be beneficial for selling aeration and turf repairs, but in general, people do get tired of the heat -  and vacation season is in full swing.

This year, it seems like everyone I know has cancelled or curtailed their vacation plans. The kids may gripe about it, but many families are choosing to play it safe and stay put. Also, in many areas, infection numbers are sliding the wrong direction, and it would not surprise me if we collectively shift back to a “stay home - work from home” model for a bit. Collectively, these add up to potential customers spending more time at home and spending less on activities than a normal year.

I was speaking recently to Mike Pickel, a friend and client who has a landscape company in Landenburg PA. He called me to help with an EDDM/Direct Mail project, because he has had several clients ask for new project proposals, and many of them said something to the effect of “If I’m going to be home anyway, I want to finally do something about this landscape/patio/backyard/etc.” I’ve had a similar conversation with my wife: In the absence of vacation and activities, we are in the market for a new patio (ahem, Cincinnati landscapers...hit me up...).

Let us help you fill your schedule for the late summer and through the fall with an EDDM like the ones below. Your clients are motivated, so let’s give them a number to call.

"Enjoy Your Time at Home" EDDM Postcards

These cards are two recent projects we completed, using the angle that if homeowners are spending time at home, they might as well make it enjoyable. Contact me directly to have us create an attention-getting card like this for your company, or see more EDDM samples on growpro.com.
