I was visiting with a client in Maryland last week, and he reiterated something I hear pretty often: Getting new lawn care clients takes a lot of effort, but increasing revenue per client with additional services is the shortest route to increased profitability. 

One of the most direct and least expensive ways to sell additional services to your clients is through e-mail marketing. Call them whatever works: e-newsletters, e-mail blasts, or e-mail promos. The idea is the same: A concise and professional message pointed directly at your clients and prospects will almost always garner a better response than any other advertising, and certainly for the cost.
