The only way to set up a special schedule for your newsletters is to choose a Full Custom level subscription. The Simple Solution and Semi-Custom newsletters are printed on a scheduled group press run and ship no later than our published ship dates.
No, but if you do, you may be eligible for advance payment discounts. A deposit of one issue charge is due with your order.
Your deposit of one issue charge applies to the last issue of your subscription. For each issue - starting with the first issue - you’ll receive an invoice for that issue. Each issue’s charge must be paid before shipment of that issue. Your final issue of the year will be shipped pre-paid from your deposit.
Yes, we can machine-fold your newsletters to a #10 size with either the masthead or mail panel showing - at no extra charge.
After the initial one-time design charges, each issue will cost only the amount listed on the price charts. Shipping to one location in the contiguous 48 states is included.
Options that do incur additional charges are:
•Using a color other than green for the personalized areas of Simple Solution newsletters ($75 per issue).
• Shipping outside the contiguous 48 states or to more than one location.
• Changes made to a Simple Solution masthead, mail panel or coupon from one issue to the next ($35 to $95 depending on the extent of the change).
•Your newsletter in PDF format for use on your website ($35 per issue).
•Tabbing ($30 per 1,000).
You’ll only be charged for any issues that have already been printed. Your deposit will be refunded minus a $35 processing fee and any production time we’ve spent on your subscription.
With a Simple Solution newsletter, the body of the newsletter stays the same as our base issue. Only certain areas are customized with your company information. The Semi-Custom newsletter can be completely personalized throughout the entire issue.
On a 2-page version, the masthead area is customized. On a 4-page, approximately 2⁄3 of the back page can also be customized. Click here to see the areas you can change.

There are one-time charges for the design of your masthead ($95), mail panel ($25) or coupon ($75). If you need to make a change anytime throughout your subscription, there will be a partial charge. There will be no additional design charges when you renew your newsletters year after year.
Yes. All Simple Solution subscribers will get a proof of the original set-up of their personalized areas, but not before each subsequent issue is printed, unless they’ve changed their personalized areas. See previews for exact content.
What do I need to send you to get started with a Simple Solution newsletter?
We’ll need your logo, along with whatever information you’d like to have on your masthead (and your mail panel and coupon if you’re using them). We can use an e-mail of your logo in a .tif, .eps or .jpg format, or you can mail us a clean copy to be scanned. Faxed logos are not usable. We also need your one-time design charges plus your deposit to get started.
No, you may choose from the hundreds of articles we have in our library, or use the articles we have in the base issue. Of course, you may provide your own articles. We’ll edit for readability. See sample articles here.
All Semi-Custom subscribers will be given access to our on-line “Play Book,” a library of article summaries covering various categories of lawn and landscape topics. See sample articles here. Approximately 6 weeks before each issue’s ship date, you’ll also receive a mock-up of that upcoming issue to help give you an idea of topics to cover and the amount of space available. Many companies just edit our articles to suit them. Within the next 3 weeks (we’ll give you the deadline), we’ll need your article and/or photo choices.
That’s great! The more personalized you make your newsletter, the more effective it can be. The only limit to the number of your own photos or articles used is the amount of space on the page.
Yes. Semi-Custom subscribers will see a proof of each issue before it prints. We can fax a proof or e-mail a PDF.
